Ryan Garcia recently expressed his desire for a rematch with Gervonta “Tank” Davis on social media, following his sixth-round defeat last April. That showdown is currently a frontrunner for the “fight of the year” accolade. Ryan’s earnings from the fight totaled an impressive $30 million, contributing to the overall $100 million generated from the bout. With such success, the 25-year-old is keen for another face-off with Tank, although the latter’s agreement remains uncertain.

However, before Ryan can focus on a Davis rematch, he has an impending bout on December 2nd against Oscar Duarte. Duarte, who is not a social media star like Ryan, is predicted to come with an aggressive approach, looking for a knockout. Ryan’s vulnerability to body shots, which Duarte excels in, might be an area of concern.

Promoter Oscar De La Hoya has hinted at the possibility of a Davis-Garcia rematch but stated it would need to be contested at 140 lbs. He also hopes there won't be any additional weight-related clauses, criticizing the previous catchweight and rehydration conditions as giving Davis an undue advantage. Regarding the potential rematch, De La Hoya commented, “It’s possible at 140.”

Ryan Garcia isn’t limited to Davis for future matches. De La Hoya also expressed interest in pitting him against WBO 140-lb champion Teofimo Lopez or the victor of the Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis clash for the WBC title. The prevailing question remains - which direction will De La Hoya steer Ryan towards?
