To prevent a scheduling clash with UFC 302 on June 1, the pay-per-view light-heavyweight boxing rematch between former UFC fighters Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal has been rescheduled to July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, as confirmed by an official involved with the event. Originally, this bout was set for June 1 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Both Diaz and Masvidal first faced off in what was the UFC's inaugural "BMF" title fight in 2019. Diaz, who is no longer under contract with the UFC, made his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul on August 5, 2023, suffering a loss. Conversely, Masvidal, who is still under UFC contract, has only one professional boxing match under his belt—a majority decision win over Joseph Benjamin in 2005.
The rescheduled match, dubbed "Last Man Standing," is set to be a 10-round contest and will be produced by Fanmio. This change also accommodates UFC 302, which will feature a lightweight main event between Dustin Poirier and Islam Makhachev in Newark, New Jersey, on the original date.
