Manny Pacquiao has confirmed that discussions are underway for a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr., ten years after their record-breaking first meeting.

According to an official connected to the talks, conversations between the two Hall of Famers have resumed following Pacquiao’s spirited draw against Mario Barrios Jr. earlier this year. The performance, while not earning him a welterweight belt, was enough to reignite interest from Mayweather. The Ring first reported that Netflix, which will stream the Jake Paul–Gervonta Davis exhibition on November 14, is interested in broadcasting Mayweather–Pacquiao II.

Mayweather, 48, has already announced plans for a 2026 exhibition with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, while Pacquiao, 46, has been in talks to face Rolly Romero for the WBA welterweight title in late January. That fight would reportedly be shelved if the rematch with Mayweather moves forward. “But who knows with these guys? You have to move mountains to get these two giant egos to agree,” the source said.

Their original encounter in May 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas remains the most lucrative fight in boxing history, generating over $600 million in revenue and 4.6 million pay-per-view buys. Mayweather won a unanimous decision, while Pacquiao later revealed he fought through a shoulder injury requiring post-fight surgery.

Now, a decade later, both legends appear willing to revisit their rivalry. But as history has shown, turning these talks into a signed contract may once again prove to be the toughest fight of all.
