Eddie Hearn has indicated that Matchroom Boxing is poised to continue its long-running partnership with DAZN. The current deal, which was extended in 2023 for three years, is due to expire next year, but Hearn insists both sides remain aligned.

Matchroom first joined DAZN in 2018, initially streaming only its U.S. events before fully transitioning from Sky Sports to the digital platform. Since then, DAZN has expanded its boxing footprint by adding Queensberry Promotions, Misfits Boxing, and Golden Boy.

Despite Netflix’s recent entry into the boxing space including its involvement in Jake Paul’s promotional events and the upcoming Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul bout, Hearn downplayed any notion of Matchroom shifting platforms. Netflix recently collaborated with the promoter on the docuseries Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen, but Hearn made it clear the relationship stops there.

“We’re exclusive to DAZN,” Hearn said. “There’ll be an announcement about our future in due course. We’re in a great position. Got the best stable in boxing… we’re very happy with DAZN. It’s allowed us to grow globally and have a one-stop shop for fight fans.”

Asked if an extension is likely, Hearn didn’t hesitate: “Yes, I would say so.”
