Vasiliy Lomachenko is reportedly planning to return from retirement this autumn in a world title fight against Emanuel Navarrete.

Lomachenko has not fought since stopping George Kambosos Jr. in the 11th round in May 2024. He later stepped away from the sport, but reports now suggest the three-weight world champion is preparing to come back between September and November.

The comeback plan could begin with Navarrete, who currently holds the IBF and WBO super featherweight titles. A victory would give Lomachenko a major title straight away after nearly two years out of the ring.

If Lomachenko beats Navarrete, the next target is Gervonta Davis, who remains one of the biggest fights available around lightweight. Lomachenko and Davis had previously been in talks for a unification fight in late 2024 before Lomachenko decided to pause his career.

Former Top Rank executive Todd duBoef previously said there had been a “framework” for a Davis fight, though no agreement was ever finalized. Lomachenko’s deal with Top Rank expired on May 12, making him a promotional free agent.
