Las Vegas is now being reported as a frontrunner to host Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury, even though it was reported that Joshua’s contract includes a clause stating the fight must take place in the UK. Eddie Hearn has also said Dana White and Zuffa Boxing are contractually blocked from promotional involvement, despite White repeatedly claiming he will play a role in the event.

Fury’s recent appearance at the White House, his first in the US in five years, has added more intrigue. He also teased a major announcement involving White, further fueling speculation that Zuffa could somehow be connected to the fight or to Fury’s next move.

Hearn has claimed White held loose talks with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on behalf of Turki Alalshikh, who is expected to fund the event. Now, according to Chris McKenna of The Athletic, Las Vegas has become a leading candidate, with other US cities also under consideration.

The idea has already drawn criticism from UK fans who believe the biggest fight in British boxing history belongs at Wembley Stadium. But with the bout targeted for November, British winter weather remains a major concern.
