WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis says there’s just one opponent he cares about after his June 7 homecoming title defence: the winner of Gervonta “Tank” Davis‑Lamont Roach II. And if Roach upsets Tank on June 21, Keyshawn insists “there’s only one fight to make – me vs. Lamont, real s^&t.”

Roach and Tank fought to a controversial majority draw last month at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, a result marred by a ninth‑round knockdown that referee Danny Schiavone failed to call. That controversy fast‑tracked talks for a rematch now pencilled in for Las Vegas’ T‑Mobile Arena. While Roach eyes revenge and a full WBA title, Keyshawn is already dangling his WBO strap and a six‑figure payday if the D.C. slickster can finish the job Tank started.

First, the 26‑year‑old Keyshawn must navigate Dominican puncher Edwin De Los Santos in Norfolk on June 7. Promoters Top Rank and Turki Alalshikh’s Ring Series have that bout positioned as a statement defence on ESPN, with Davis vowing to “set the tone” before Roach‑Tank takes center stage two weeks later.

Keyshawn dismissed links to Emanuel Navarrete (“too small”) and suggested he’d face Raymond Muratalla “for no belt” if necessary, but Roach is the preferred target. Critics point out that the 5ft 9in champion routinely rehydrates near junior‑middleweight territory, a risk Roach would surely address with a pre‑fight clause, but Keyshawn brushed off size talk: “If you want to fight me, I want to fight you. Let’s make it happen.”

With four lightweight belts split among three promoters and Shakur Stevenson trying to unify against William Zepeda in July, Keyshawn’s challenge adds fresh intrigue to a division no longer ruled by Devin Haney.
