Rising lightweight star Keyshawn Davis is almost set to headline a homecoming bout against Argentina's Gustavo Lemos on November 8 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The fight, which will be broadcast live on ESPN as part of a Top Rank Boxing event, is expected to be Davis's toughest test to date.
Davis, an Olympic silver medalist from the Tokyo 2020 games, has quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the lightweight division. In his most recent outing, Davis secured a 10-round decision victory over Miguel Madueno last month.
His potential opponent, Gustavo Lemos, presents a significant challenge for Davis. The 28-year-old from Buenos Aires is known for his power and resilience, attributes that have made him a formidable opponent in the ring. Lemos is coming off a controversial decision loss to junior welterweight contender Richard Hitchins in April, a fight many felt could have gone either way. For the Davis bout, Lemos will return to his more natural weight of 135 pounds.

Lemos's most notable victory came in March 2022, when he scored a fifth-round TKO over former champion Lee Selby. This victory showcased Lemos's ability to compete at the highest levels of the sport, and he will undoubtedly be looking to bounce back from his recent setback with a statement win against Davis.
For Davis, this fight marks his third appearance in the ring in 2024. Earlier this year, he delivered an impressive sixth-round TKO against former champion Jose Pedraza in February. A victory over Lemos would further elevate Davis's standing in the lightweight division and move him closer to a potential world title shot.
