Anthony Joshua’s long-awaited clash with Tyson Fury is being targeted for November, with Eddie Hearn confirming that plans are actively in place to make the fight happen in 2026.

Hearn revealed he has clear instructions from Joshua to secure the bout. “My instructions are ‘make the [Fury] fight’,” he said, adding that discussions had previously advanced to the point where the matchup was “virtually done” earlier this year before circumstances forced a delay.

Fury, who recently returned from a 16-month layoff with a points win over Arslanbek Makhmudov, immediately called out Joshua post-fight. Joshua, who was ringside, did not respond directly.

The original timeline had Joshua scheduled for a warm-up fight before facing Fury in the summer, but plans were disrupted following a car crash in Nigeria that left him injured and claimed the lives of two of his close friends. Hearn confirmed that the same structure is now being revisited, with a potential return in July followed by the Fury fight later in the year.

“We need to make sure of the timings,” Hearn said, noting that Joshua is awaiting medical clearance to resume full training. Despite the setbacks, he remains confident: “If we do that, get everything locked up, I’m fully confident that this fight happens.”
