Former World Champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (33-4-1, 15 KOs) is set to make his return to the ring in a 10-round lightweight bout against rising star Richard “El Castigo” Medina (15-1, 8 KOs). The fight is slated as the co-main event on the Rocha vs. Santillan card, scheduled for Saturday, October 21 at the Kia Forum. Diaz, a seasoned veteran, will be looking to prove he still has what it takes to compete at the top level, while Medina aims to make a statement by taking down a former world champion.

Also in a championship fight, IBF Flyweight Titleholder Arely “Ametralladora” Muciño (32-3-2, 11 KOs) will put her title on the line against the undefeated Gabriela Fundora (11-0, 4 KOs). Muciño, a four-time flyweight titlist, will be making her first title defense since capturing the belt from Leonela Yudica in October 2022. Fundora, on the other hand, will be making her first attempt at a world championship belt, coming off a win against Maria Santizo that went the distance.

Also featured on the DAZN broadcast is a 10-round flyweight fight with Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (22-2, 16 KOs), who is making his return after a grueling bout against Rocco Santomauro. David “Dynamite” Stevens (13-0, 9 KOs) will also be in action, looking to keep his perfect record intact in an eight-round super middleweight contest. Opponents for both Sandoval and Stevens are yet to be announced.

The preliminary card is also packed with talent, including the professional debut of San Fernando’s Iyana “Roxy” Verduzco in a four-round featherweight fight. Dalis Kaleiopu (4-0, 3 KOs) of Waianae, Hawaii, will also be in action in a six-round lightweight match, last seen going the distance against veteran Jonathan “Popeye” Perez. With a mix of experienced fighters and rising stars, the Rocha vs. Santillan card promises to be an action-packed night for boxing fans.
