Jarrell Miller has revealed a significant transformation ahead of his bout against former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr., scheduled for this Saturday night in Los Angeles. Miller has shed 45 pounds during his training camp, a drastic change that might give him an edge over Ruiz. This bout, which will be shown live on DAZN PPV, features a main event with Terence Crawford challenging WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov.

Miller, who weighed in at 333 lbs for his last fight against Daniel Dubois last December, now appears considerably slimmer. This transformation could make him a faster and more agile opponent for Ruiz, who has been less active in recent years. "I dropped 45 pounds, and I’m ready to rock and roll. I’ve got abs again, and I’m ready to kick his a$$."

Expressing confidence about the upcoming match, Miller told Title Sports Network, "He [Ruiz] had the belts for a few months [in 2019]. He’s working his way back to a title shot. I’m working my way to a title shot, and I’m going to win." Ruiz has been making a slow return to the ring after losing his titles to Anthony Joshua in December 2019, with only two fights since then and lengthy layoffs in between.

Miller believes he has the upper hand, stating, "I think Dubois is in better shape. He has better movement. He’s a harder puncher than Andy. Andy has speed on his side. I got a chin, I got aggression, I got a heart, and I got punching power on my side. When it comes to Saturday night, I’m f$$$ing him up." Predicting a fifth-round knockout, Miller is eager to prove his doubters wrong.

Despite the challenges of losing weight and preparing for the fight, Miller remains focused and motivated. "The first month, it sucks, but then you get into a regimen, and then you start to see results. You start to see your body changing," he said.
