Jake Paul and Logan Paul raised plenty of eyebrows on Tuesday by teasing a March 27 event on the streaming platform Max. Social media exploded with talk that the YouTube star siblings might finally box each other. However, sources tell ESPN’s Mike Coppinger that fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a Paul vs. Paul showdown. Instead, the March 27 date is connected to a reality series - though specific details about the show’s premise are still under wraps.
Yesterday, both Jake and Logan posted identical images featuring themselves in a face-off graphic, with the date and the Max logo. While it initially seemed like a fight promotion, those close to the situation insist it’s all about a reality TV project. It’s hardly surprising that the Paul brothers managed to stir up such a reaction. Each has dabbled in various combat sports events, generating huge paydays and attention. Jake famously defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in November, a bout that reportedly broke revenue records in Texas and drew a massive betting audience.
Logan is currently making waves in the WWE, holding the United States Championship and appearing on major pay-per-view cards. He also gained notoriety by going the distance with Floyd Mayweather in a 2021 boxing exhibition. Rumors of a Logan Paul vs. Conor McGregor matchup were recently put to rest, with McGregor stating the UFC wouldn't sign off on such a fight. Despite the swirling headlines, the only sure thing is that the Paul brothers aren’t preparing to square off in a ring against each other anytime soon. Instead, we can look forward to finding out just what kind of reality TV drama the duo has in store come March 27.
