Devin Haney has reportedly withdrawn his lawsuit against Ryan Garcia, paving the way for a potential second showdown between the two. According to journalist Cynthia Conte, the condition for Haney dropping his legal action was that Garcia accept VADA as the primary drug-testing agency. Though an official announcement isn’t out yet, Haney posted on social media that Garcia "isn’t a duck" for agreeing to those terms.

The fight details remain in limbo, including the venue, date, and weight class. Haney previously mentioned 143 or 144 pounds as a likely catchweight for his next bout. This rematch is crucial for both fighters: Haney wants to redeem himself after Garcia dominated him in their April clash, handing the then-undefeated Haney his first professional defeat - albeit overturned by the commission due to Garcia’s positive test for a banned substance.

In their first bout, Garcia knocked Haney down three times, staggering him with a left hook in the opening round and dropping him further in the later stages. The official scorecards read 114-110 and 115-109 in favor of Garcia. With the lawsuit now out of the way and VADA testing agreed upon, we await formal confirmation that Haney-Garcia 2 will truly get off the ground.
