Promoter Frank Warren has revealed that Tyson Fury intends to return to the ring in 2026, as the 37-year-old from Morecambe, England, has reportedly told Warren directly that he plans to fight again next year.
Fury announced his retirement following his second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024, when he once again lost a decision in their undisputed heavyweight rematch. Despite his claims of stepping away, many in the boxing world suspected that “The Gypsy King” would not remain idle for long.

Since then, Fury has continued to post videos of his training sessions and roadwork on social media, and peaking to DAZN, Warren confirmed those suspicions. “I spoke to him last week; he said that he's going to come back and fight next year,” Warren stated. “He’s going to do it. He’s had a very busy year this year. He’s obviously not had a fight this year, but as we’ve all seen, he’s had his documentary. He’s told me categorically he wants to fight next year. So, we’ll sit down and see.”
The comments suggest Fury’s competitive fire still burns, despite his recent setbacks, and while no opponent or timeline has been discussed, Warren’s confidence hints that the former champion’s story in the heavyweight division is far from over.
