UK-based promotional outfit GBM Sports is officially seeking a new broadcast partner after its agreement with DAZN concluded and was not renewed.

Executive Izzy Asif confirmed the split in a public statement, thanking DAZN for what he described as a productive 18-month partnership. GBM’s deal with the streaming platform began in June 2024 and provided the promoter with global exposure during a period of rapid growth.

“As that agreement has now concluded and has not been renewed, we reflect with pride on what was achieved during that period,” Asif wrote, while acknowledging that the outcome was disappointing. He highlighted the company’s expansion from grassroots beginnings to staging a world title fight, a stadium event, and reviving tournament-style boxing.

One of the notable highlights of the DAZN era came in May 2025, when Terri Harper successfully defended her lightweight world title against Natalie Zimmermann. The bout marked a significant milestone for the promoter and reinforced GBM’s presence on the UK boxing scene.

GBM was also recognized by Boxing News as Promoter of the Year 2025 runner-up, finishing behind Turki Alalshikh. Asif emphasized that the company’s achievements were built “from the ground up,” without major backing or shortcuts.

GBM Sports is now in active discussions with multiple broadcasters and platforms, with further announcements expected soon as the company looks to secure a new broadcast home.
