Following his split-decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, Tyson Fury has dropped below Anthony Joshua in the heavyweight rankings. The WBC’s June rankings now list Joshua as the number one contender, relegating Fury to second place. Despite Agit Kabayel’s victory over Frank Sanchez on the Fury-Usyk undercard, he remains in third place.

The WBA, which previously did not rate Fury due to his WBC title status, has placed him at number four, behind Martin Bakole, who holds the mandatory contender position with notable wins over Tony Yoka and Carlos Takam, Joshua in second, and Daniel Dubois in fourth.

In the IBF rankings, Daniel Dubois is now the interim champion after his win over Filip Hrgovic, just weeks after Usyk and Fury's bout. Fury is ranked sixth by the IBF, with Jared Anderson in fifth, Kabayel in fourth, and Joshua in third. Martin Bakole, despite his impressive performances, is ranked 14th, with the top two positions vacant.

Cuban cruiserweight contender Mike Perez also makes a notable appearance, ranked sixth by the WBA, despite not fighting at heavyweight since 2015. The WBO has yet to release its latest rankings, which the boxing community is eagerly awaiting.
