The press tour for Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn II ignited in London, as Eubank unleashed a barrage of accusations against promoter Eddie Hearn and British Boxing Board of Control chief Robert Smith. The rivals will meet again on November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Eubank will attempt to repeat his unanimous decision victory from April.

Their first bout ended with Eubank in control on the scorecards but left him hospitalized due to the toll of making the 160lb limit. Despite his struggles, the 35-year-old has once again agreed to fight at middleweight and keep under a 170lb rehydration cap.

At the presser, Eubank accused Hearn of obstructing his team and even delaying his ambulance after the first fight. “They did everything they could to try and destroy me in this fight,” he said. “I was actually so dehydrated that one of my toe nails fell off. Then these scumbags blocked the ambulance for 20 minutes.” Hearn dismissed the comments as “waffle.”

Eubank also directed fire at Robert Smith, claiming Board fines against him were being misused. “The money seems to be lying in the pockets of fat cats that sit on the Board, like Robert Smith. It’s not being put back into the community, that’s for sure.”

With Benn promising revenge and Eubank trading accusations with both promoter and Board, tensions are soaring ahead of their rematch. The drama outside the ring looks set to fuel an already heated clash in November.
