ESPN has released its updated pound-for-pound rankings, with Naoya Inoue holding the No. 1 spot and Oleksandr Usyk remaining second despite his recent win over Rico Verhoeven.
The biggest change comes at the bottom of the top 10, where Dmitry Bivol has returned after beating Michael Eifert. That result pushed Saul “Canelo” Alvarez out of ESPN’s list, adding another twist to the pound-for-pound debate ahead of Canelo’s September comeback against Christian Mbilli.
Inoue stays on top with a perfect 33-0 record, while Usyk (25-0) keeps second place after retaining his heavyweight titles. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez is third, followed by David Benavidez, Shakur Stevenson and Bivol.
The full top 10 is: Inoue, Usyk, Rodriguez, Benavidez, Stevenson, Bivol, Devin Haney, Junto Nakatani, Jaron Ennis and Jai Opetaia.
