Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing is preparing an addendum outlining the conditions required for Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury to take place at Madison Square Garden on November 20.
Matchroom is reportedly refusing to allow Zuffa Boxing to promote the fight, with Saudi event company Sela emerging as the likely compromise to oversee the event.
The requested terms are said to include standard guarantees over tickets, security and transportation, while Matchroom also wants Joshua to receive the remaining money owed from his July 25 win over Kristian Prenga.
A major Matchroom-heavy undercard is also being discussed. Proposed fights include Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez vs. Christian Medina in a bantamweight unification, Jack Catterall vs. Keyshawn Davis for the WBA secondary welterweight title and Murat Gassiev vs. Jarrell Miller for the WBA heavyweight title.
Teremoana Jnr and Odel Kamara are also being considered for the card, although none of the proposed undercard fights have yet been signed.
The New York switch still requires Matchroom’s approval after Joshua’s original agreement called for the fight to take place in the UK.
