Derek Chisora has cast doubt over his retirement plans after calling for a rematch with Deontay Wilder following their recent heavyweight clash.

Chisora, 42, had entered the bout stating it would be his final fight, but suffered a points defeat in a dramatic contest that saw him dropped in the eighth round and sent through the ropes. Despite the pre-fight announcement, he stopped short of confirming his retirement in the ring and has since shifted his focus toward a second meeting.

“I’m very upset with the scoring,” Chisora said, disputing the knockdowns that played a key role in the result. “The two knockdowns that were given were pushes… I’m not happy with that. The whole thing was a shambles.”

The British veteran made it clear that a rematch is now his only priority, suggesting he has no interest in pursuing other fights. “I want to get the rematch,” he said, reinforcing his stance that the outcome did not reflect the fight as he saw it.

The bout marked the 50th professional appearance for both fighters, ending in Chisora’s 14th career defeat while handing Wilder his 45th win. Having previously shared the ring with names such as Vitali Klitschko, David Haye and Oleksandr Usyk, Chisora’s future now appears tied to whether a second fight with Wilder can be made.
