Terence Crawford has revealed that Roy Jones Jr. is his all-time favorite fighter - and a man he believes was “unbeatable” during his prime years.

Crawford, who has collected world titles across four weight classes and achieved undisputed status at both super-lightweight and welterweight, continues to add to his legacy as in September, he captured the undisputed super-middleweight championship by defeating Saul “Canelo” Alvarez at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Despite his own unbeaten run and dominance since turning professional in 2008, Crawford pointed to Jones as the standard of excellence. “Roy Jones Jr. - he was unbeatable in his prime,” Crawford said in an interview with Piers Morgan. “He’s my boxing hero. He will always be my favourite of all time.”

Jones, a four-division world champion, dazzled fans throughout the 1990s with his speed and showmanship, earning wins over icons like Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. After 50 fights, his only loss was a controversial disqualification against Montell Griffin, which he avenged with a first-round knockout just months later.
