Conor Benn’s manager, Keith Connolly, is planning the fighter's next moves with a strategy that includes targeting WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, followed by a pay-per-view showdown with Gervonta Davis in the U.S. Connolly believes a matchup with Davis would generate more revenue than the long-discussed fight against middleweight Chris Eubank Jr.
According to Connolly, the focus is on capturing the WBC belt, which could position Benn (22-1, 14 KOs) for a marquee fight with Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) in 2025. Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has been advocating for the Eubank Jr. fight, seeing it as a lucrative option, but Connolly insists the bigger financial opportunity lies with Davis. "The Conor Benn, Chris Eubank fight doesn’t look like it’ll happen next," Connolly shared, adding that discussions with Hearn about a fight with Barrios are set to take place soon.

A potential clash between Benn and Davis would carry global appeal, unlike a fight with Eubank Jr., which is likely to interest primarily the UK market. Davis, one of boxing’s top draws, would bring significant attention to such a fight, also further boosting Benn’s profile internationally.
