Tomorrow there is a 12-round junior welterweight battle between Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis, set to take place in Manchester, England. This matchup marks Catterall’s second back-to-back bout against a former 140-pound champion, following his impressive unanimous decision win over Josh Taylor in their rematch.

For Catterall, 30, this fight is another step toward achieving his dream of a world title. After a controversial split decision loss to Taylor in their first bout in 2022, he remains one of the division’s most determined contenders. Catterall reflected on his journey, emphasizing, “I've waited around for big fights before, and it cost me in terms of inactivity. I'll never do that again."

Prograis, on the other hand, views this bout as a chance for redemption. The 35-year-old faced his first defeat to Taylor in 2019 and more recently lost a title defense to Devin Haney in December. Now, he’s focused on reestablishing himself in the division and sees Catterall as the perfect opponent. "This is a fight I've always wanted,” Prograis said. "We were supposed to fight a few years back, and now it’s the perfect time."

In the co-main event, British and Commonwealth super featherweight champion Reece Bellotti will defend his titles against Michael Gomez Jr.. After experiencing a challenging career stretch, Bellotti has bounced back to claim his belts and is now eyeing a statement win. Gomez Jr., known for his aggressive style like his father, former British champion Michael Gomez, presents a formidable challenge in what could be a sleeper fight of the night.
