A lively Wichita crowd filled the arena to watch a former heavyweight champion stretch his legs, a hometown Olympic medalist look for a statement, and a handful of prospects eager to pad knockout reels. The card promised fireworks from the opening bell, and by the end of the night nearly every bout had produced either a highlight finish or a clear message about where each fighter stands.
Deontay Wilder controlled the early rounds behind a busy jab, then began loosening up the right hand in the middle frames, flooring Tyrrell Herndon at the bell to end the sixth and overwhelming him with two clubbing rights halfway through the seventh. Referee Ray Corona waved it off at 1:47 of round 7, giving Wilder his first stoppage since 2023.
Flyweight favorite Nico Hernandez thrilled local fans by digging to Robert Ledesma’s body, scoring two knockdowns in the opening round and another in the second, where a final hook to the ribs ended matters at 1:04.
Cruiserweight Gustavo Trujillo marched forward behind a high guard and battered Lateef Kayode for five rounds before teeing off unanswered combinations in the sixth. Kayode’s corner mercifully threw in the towel at 2:15.
Heavyweight Aaron Casper kept Jeff Page Jr. on the end of straight shots for six tidy rounds, winning 59-55 twice and 58-56 as Page - fighting for the first time in eight years—tired under steady pressure.
The undercard delivered a string of quick finishes: Eric Valencia, John Cantrell, Jorge Carlos, and Marco Romero all scored first-round knockouts; Chancey Wilson cruised to a 40-35, 40-35, 39-36 decision over Joshua Richey; Kayla Williams swept Helen Lucero on the cards; and Noah Aldana halted General Lee in the third to close a KO-heavy night in Kansas.
