Adrien Broner says he is not ready to walk away from boxing yet, insisting he still wants one more world title before retiring.
Broner has not fought since June 2024, when he lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Blair Cobbs. Now approaching his 37th birthday in July, the former four-division champion says he still thinks about another title run every day.
“I’m gonna give y’all another run with this shit,” Broner said during a livestream with DeenTheGreat. “I gotta win 1 more world title before I retire.”
During the stream, Broner also spoke about returning to the gym and staying focused ahead of an upcoming fight. “Tomorrow we’re going to hit the gym in the morning,” he said.
Still, the livestream also showed the familiar contrast that has followed Broner in recent years - confidence and ambition mixed with distractions. After saying he had stayed sober throughout the day, he later admitted: “I don’t think I’m gonna stay sober, gang. I ain’t gonna lie.”
For Broner, the message is clear even if the road remains uncertain. Retirement is not the plan yet, and he still believes his career needs one final championship chapter.
