Boxxer is preparing to announce a new pay-per-view broadcast platform as the promotion reshapes its business model ahead of a busy 2026. Founder Ben Shalom confirmed that the company will reveal the PPV deal next week, following its high-profile split from Sky Sports last June and subsequent move to the BBC in August.

The BBC partnership has given Boxxer unrivaled reach across the UK, but its non-commercial structure has limited the promotion’s ability to fund major fights. Shalom explained that while free-to-air broadcasts will remain central to Boxxer’s strategy, pay-per-view is essential to support elite-level bouts and fighter earnings. Crucially, the new platform will not require a subscription, with fans paying only for individual PPV events.

Despite early speculation that Boxxer’s BBC deal would include just four shows per year, activity suggests a broader slate. The promotion has already staged Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie Tshikeva in November and Callum Simpson vs. Troy Williamson in December, with Adam Azim vs. Gustavo Lemos scheduled for January 31. Shalom also confirmed future dates penciled in for March 7, April 4, and May 2.

While headline results have not always gone as planned, Shalom said the BBC has been thrilled with the competitiveness and entertainment value of the fights. Strong sponsor interest has helped make the model viable, and Shalom believes the partnership can play a vital role in sustaining British boxing by building stars on a national platform.
