Undefeated Cuban middleweight contender Yoenli Hernandez, who boasts a 4-0 record with all victories coming by knockout and is a two-time world amateur champion (2021 and 2023), has signed with Dream Bigg Management as he seeks to continue his professional development. Even though his history in the sport is pretty spectacular, Hernandez never represented Cuba in the Olympics or claimed a Cuban national championship. His journey took a significant turn in May 2023 when he left the Cuban delegation during a stopover in Panama and eventually resettled in Providence, Rhode Island.
In his most recent bout on June 7, Hernandez stopped Alejandro Barrera in seven rounds. This victory has already propelled him to No. 10 in the WBA rankings and No. 15 in the WBC rankings, an impressive feat considering his limited professional experience with only four fights.
Robert Valle, owner of Dream Bigg Management, has been instrumental in bringing some of Cuba’s top boxing talents under his wing, including Hernandez. Valle, who had previously stepped away from boxing management due to a negative experience, was encouraged by friends to return to the sport.
"I left boxing with a bad taste, but my friends kept telling me to try again," Valle said. "A friend from France called about a Cuban gold medalist [Hernandez]. I got to know him, helped him out in Panama, and he signed with me. And then we were off to the races."
Dream Bigg’s roster is rapidly growing and includes other promising Cuban prospects such as lightweight Armando Martinez Rabi (11-0, 10 KOs), junior middleweight Pedro Veita (5-0, 5 KOs), and middleweight Ronny Alvarez (2-0, 2 KOs). Additionally, the team features welterweight Luis Ramos (2-0, 2 KOs) and junior welterweight Thomas Blumenfeld (4-0, 3 KOs).
