Conor Benn's path back to the ring has cleared another hurdle as UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has decided not to appeal the recent ruling by the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) to reinstate him. Benn now waits to see if the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will exercise its separate right to appeal, which could still stall his return.

Benn’s career faced major disruption following two failed tests for the banned substance clomifene in 2022. However, the NADP decision earlier this month allowed him to resume boxing, sparking speculation about high-profile matchups. Benn has been linked to early 2025 bouts with Chris Eubank Jr. and WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

In a statement, UKAD confirmed their decision not to pursue an appeal, stating, "Following the expiry of UKAD’s appeal deadline yesterday, we can confirm that UKAD has decided not to file an appeal with the National Anti-Doping Panel. As with all anti-doping cases, WADA has a separate right of appeal and an extended deadline to file."
