In a night that ended in an electrifying fashion in his hometown of Telford, Liam Davies (14-0, 6 KOs) squared off in a bout against Jason Cunningham (32-8, 7 KOs) for the championship of Britain and Europe.

The event kicked off with a burst of energy from Liam Davies, who had promised a career-best performance. He made good on his promise by ending the bout in just 2:36 minutes of the first round, catching a vastly experienced Cunningham off guard and finishing him off with swift precision. Davies walked his opponent down from the opening bell and was determined to control the pace. A significant breakthrough came when he hit Cunningham with a big overhand right, destabilizing him and paving the way for a ruthless finish.

Cunningham was given a count by referee Victor Loughlin and seemed fine to continue. However, with around 45 seconds left in the round, Davies swarmed all over him, unleashing a flurry of shots that left Cunningham with nowhere to hide. A leaping left-hook sent Cunningham stumbling back into the ropes, and as more unanswered blows continued to rain down on him, Loughlin was forced to intervene.

In the aftermath of the victory, an ecstatic Davies reflected on his dedication to the sport and his ambition for more titles. Currently, Naoya Inoue holds the WBO and WBC champion titles at super-bantamweight, while Marlon Tapales holds the IBF and WBA belts. Regardless of who he ends up fighting next, Davies has made it clear that he's ready to prove his mettle against top contenders.
