Amir Khan has reignited hopes of a long-discussed showdown with Manny Pacquiao, publicly calling out the Filipino legend amid renewed rumors of a Floyd Mayweather rematch. The former world champion says he’s ready to return for “one final dance” - but only if it’s against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao recently made his professional comeback after a four-year hiatus, earning a draw against Mario Barrios in July while challenging for the WBC welterweight world title. His return immediately sparked talk of another major bout, with early 2026 eyed for his next appearance. However, fresh reports of a second Mayweather fight have seemingly shifted the conversation.

Speaking after the ‘Thrilla in Manila 2’ event, Pacquiao confirmed ongoing negotiations with multiple opponents. “There is a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather and also a fight with [Vasyl] Lomachenko,” he said. “If I could choose, I would love to have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.”

That statement prompted Khan to issue his own challenge on X (formerly Twitter), urging Pacquiao to revisit the long-rumored matchup that never materialized during their primes. “Let’s go @MannyPacquiao, I’m up for one final dance,” Khan wrote. “Let’s make OUR fight that never happened - it’s what the fans always wanted.”

With Mike Tyson also claiming to have signed for an exhibition against Mayweather in spring 2026, Khan could find his opportunity if Pacquiao’s talks with Mayweather stall.
