Alexander Povetkin’s professional record remains intact despite an official anti-doping ruling that called for the disqualification of results spanning a decade of his career.

The case stems from a 2014 sample that tested positive for ostarine, a banned performance-enhancing substance. Following an investigation led by the International Testing Agency on behalf of the International Boxing Association, Povetkin accepted the violation and received a four-year suspension running from October 2024 to October 2028.

As part of the ruling, all results between October 25, 2014 and October 21, 2024 were set to be disqualified. That period includes key fights against opponents such as Carlos Takam, Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, including Povetkin’s 2020 knockout win over Whyte for the WBC interim title.

However, those bouts are still listed across major boxing record platforms, with no adjustments made. Povetkin continues to be recorded with a career total of 36 wins, three losses and one draw.

If the ruling were fully implemented, the removal of those results would significantly alter his career statistics, reducing his record to roughly 24 wins, two losses and one draw, effectively ending his official résumé in 2014.
