The YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, was the stage for an exhilarating night of boxing, featuring a blend of knockouts, technical prowess, and unexpected outcomes. The event was headlined by a super middleweight clash and supported by a series of compelling bouts across various weight classes.
In the main event, the towering WBC USA and WBO International Super Middleweight champion Diego “C4” Pacheco (20-0, 17 KOs) showcased his dominance against Marcelo “El Terrible” Coceres (32-6-1, 18 KOs). Pacheco, leveraging his height and reach advantage, controlled the early rounds with a sharp jab and precise power punches. Coceres, undeterred, kept pressing forward, looking for openings. However, Pacheco’s skillful boxing and power eventually overwhelmed Coceres, culminating in a dramatic ninth-round stoppage.
The co-main event presented an upset in the super bantamweight division, where Mayerlin “La Monita” Rivas (17-5-3, 11 KOs) faced Erika “Dinamita” Cruz (17-2, 3 KOs). Cruz, a former WBA Featherweight champion and current WBA Continental Americas champion, displayed a remarkable combination of agility and tactical acumen. Despite Rivas’s efforts and moments of success, Cruz’s consistent pressure and cleaner shots earned her a majority decision victory in a closely contested fight.
The card also featured a stunning first-round stoppage in the super flyweight division. Former Olympian and WBA super fly champ Khalid “Kal” Yafai (27-2, 15 KOs) was overwhelmed by Jonathan “Torres” Rodriguez (17-1-1, 7 KOs). Rodriguez’s power and precision were on full display, as he dropped Yafai twice before the referee called an end to the bout, marking a significant upset.
In the super featherweight division, Marc Castro (11-0, 8 KOs) continued his ascent with a dominant performance over Gonzalo “Maravilla” Fuenzalida (12-3, 3 KOs). Castro’s relentless attack and pinpoint accuracy proved too much for Fuenzalida, leading to a seventh-round stoppage.
Another highlight of the night was the super featherweight bout between Jalan “Sky” Walker (12-0-1, 10 KOs) and Jorge Alberto Villegas (14-2, 13 KOs). Walker’s power and skill were evident as he stopped Villegas in the second round, reinforcing his status as a rising star in the division.
The event also featured a lightweight bout where southpaw Criztec Bazaldua (3-0, 1 KO) showcased his talent against Pedro “Zurdo” Angel Cruz (3-4, 0 KOs). Bazaldua’s speed and power were too much for Cruz, leading to a fourth-round stoppage.
