JHM Promotion will stage a double European title bill on June 19 at the Zarzuela Hippodrome in Madrid, with two vacant EBU belts on the line.
The main attraction is the postponed super middleweight title fight between Denmark’s Oliver Zaren (19-0, 8 KOs) and Spain’s Jose Luis Navarro Jr. (17-2, 12 KOs) The bout was originally set for May 23 but has now been moved to June 19, giving the Spanish card an even stronger headline fight.
Zaren enters unbeaten and looking to claim the European title away from home, while Navarro Jr. gets a major opportunity in Spain to win one of the most respected regional belts in boxing.
The same show will also feature unbeaten Belgian welterweight Anas Messaoudi against Spain’s Aaron Alhambra for the vacant EBU welterweight title. Messaoudi (18-0-1, 12 KOs) and Alhambra (18-2, 6 KOs) add another high-level matchup to what is shaping up as one of Spain’s biggest boxing nights in recent years.
