On November 23 in Heidelberg, Germany, Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (19-0, 15 KOs) will defend his EBU European heavyweight title in a showdown against Kosovo’s unbeaten Labinot Xhoxhaj (19-0-1, 16 KOs). The Ukrainian champion was initially slated to face Arnold Gjergjaj (38-3, 27 KOs), but an injury forced the Swiss contender out of the bout.

Labinot Xhoxhaj steps in as the replacement, bringing an undefeated record and a reputation as a power puncher. The Kosovo native is coming off two stoppage victories in 2024, including wins over Semir Dautovic in April and Vaclav Trojacek in September. This will mark Xhoxhaj’s biggest challenge yet, as he faces a seasoned champion in Zakhozhyi.

Zakhozhyi last fought in April, where he showcased his knockout power against Granit Shala, ending the bout early to retain his title. With 15 knockouts in 19 wins, Zakhozhyi has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous punchers in the heavyweight division.
