A late shake-up has reshaped Friday’s ProBox card at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, with Edward Vazquez vs. Grimardi Machuca now serving as the new main event.

The original headliner was scheduled to feature a lightweight clash between Rene Tellez Giron and Luis Torres. However, the bout has been canceled due to an injury to Torres, according to a source with ProBox. As a result, Vazquez-Machuca has been moved from the undercard to the top of the bill. The co-feature between welterweight prospect Ruben Aguilar and Luis Lopez remains intact.

Vazquez (18-3, 5 KOs), a 30-year-old from nearby Fort Worth, Texas, is a former featherweight and junior lightweight title challenger. His career includes a controversial split decision loss to Raymond Ford in early 2022 and a majority decision defeat in a challenge for Joe Cordina’s IBF 130-pound title in late 2023. He was stopped in the seventh round by WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza in May 2025 but rebounded in November with a fifth-round stoppage of 14-1 Albeiro Paredes.

Machuca (17-3, 14 KOs), a 35-year-old Venezuelan based in New Jersey, enters the bout looking to snap a three-fight losing streak. All three defeats came by unanimous decision, against Pablo Vicente in May 2023, Branden Pizarro in September 2024, and Deonte Brown in October 2025.

Meanwhile, the co-main event will see unbeaten Aguilar (23-0-1, 20 KOs) take on Lopez (16-2-4, 5 KOs). Despite the late change at the top, ProBox’s Arlington event moves forward with a new headliner and high stakes for both Vazquez and Machuca.
