Edward Vazquez will return to ProBoxTV on Friday, June 5, facing Daniel Lugo in a 10-round super featherweight main event at College Park Center at the University of Texas in Arlington.
Vazquez (19-3, 6 KOs), a two-time world title challenger from Fort Worth, comes in after a strong February performance, where he stopped Grimardi Machuca in five rounds. Fighting close to home, the 30-year-old now gets another chance to build momentum in front of Texas fans.
Lugo (28-3-1, 19 KOs) brings danger and experience from Mexico. He stopped Francisco Javier Franco Villa in six rounds last March and previously fought Mauricio Lara to a controversial majority draw in 2024, a fight many felt Lugo deserved to win.
The co-feature will see unbeaten Filipino puncher Weljon Mindoro (16-0-1, 16 KOs) face veteran Elias Espadas (23-8-1, 16 KOs) in a 10-round super middleweight bout.
Alan “Kid Kansas” Garcia (17-1, 12 KOs) also appears in an eight-round lightweight fight against Bryan Jimenez (18-3, 10 KOs), adding another action-focused matchup to the main card.
The televised opener features Carlos Martinez (4-0, 1 KO) against Jesus De La Toba (5-0, 5 KOs), while Guillermo Keb (14-0, 6 KOs), Emilio Garcia (4-0, 4 KOs), and Malachi Ross (4-0, 3 KOs) are also scheduled for undercard action.
