Bantamweight contenders Antonio Vargas (18-1, 10 KOs) and Winston "El Fantasma" Guerrero (22-0, 13 KOs) will meet on December 13 for the interim WBA bantamweight title at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Vargas, coming off a seventh-round stoppage of Jonathan Rodriguez in February, faces the undefeated Guerrero, who is determined to maintain his spotless record and claim his first major title.
The co-main event features 18-year-old rising prospect Javon “Wanna” Walton (1-0-1, 1 KO) in a four-round junior featherweight bout against Erik Hanley (1-1, 1 KO). Walton, a promising boxer and actor, looks to deliver an improved performance after months of preparation.
Also on the card, heavyweight knockout artist Gurgen "Big Gug" Hovhannisyan (6-0, 6 KOs) takes on Samoan fighter Patrick "Magic" Mailata (6-2, 3 KOs). Trained by Hall of Famer Joe Goossen, Hovhannisyan aims to get another win in a battle against the tough Las Vegas-based heavyweight.
The Most Valuable Prospects 10 card, co-promoted by MVP founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, promises to highlight some of boxing’s top up-and-coming talents.
