Fight Details

Tim Tszyu will headline a No Limit Boxing event in Wollongong, Australia on April 5 as he begins his 2026 campaign against unbeaten Albanian contender Denis Nurja. The bout will take place at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Tszyu’s first appearance in the coastal city as he looks to rebuild momentum toward bigger fights later this year.

The former IBF junior middleweight champion enters the contest with a record of 26-3 (18 KOs) and is currently ranked No. 7 by the WBC and No. 8 by the IBF at 154 pounds. Tszyu’s fight with Nurja (20-0, 8 KOs) will take place at a 157-pound catchweight, with the Albanian challenger holding the WBA’s No. 12 ranking in the division.

Tszyu’s most recent outing came in December when he secured a 10-round points victory over Anthony Velasquez in his first fight under Miami-based trainer Pedro Diaz. The 31-year-old has emphasized his desire to remain active after a difficult stretch that saw him lose three fights over a 17-month period.

Nurja arrives in Australia unbeaten and eager to make the most of his opportunity. The Italian-based fighter has never fought beyond six rounds in his career and will be entering only his third scheduled 10-round bout, but he believes his amateur pedigree and experience against strong opposition make him a dangerous challenger.

Promoter George Rose believes fans will see a sharper version of Tszyu as he continues to adjust to life training in Miami. Rose said the April 5 fight is a crucial step in Tszyu’s path toward becoming a world champion again, stressing that the unbeaten Nurja represents a genuine risk.

The undercard will feature an IBF junior featherweight title eliminator between Sam Goodman (21-1, 8 KOs) and Rodrigo Ruiz (23-1, 17 KOs). Former rugby league player Nelson Asofa-Solomona (1-0, 1 KO) will also return to the ring against Jarrod Wallace, while prospects Callum Peters, Ahmad Reda and a clash between Charlie Kazzi and Blair Geraghty add further depth to the card.
