Gustavo Trujillo will return on May 30 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he faces Sergio Ramirez Marin in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout.
Trujillo (10-0, 9 KOs), ranked No. 14 by the WBO, enters as an unbeaten heavyweight contender and one of the division’s rising knockout threats. Known as “The Cuban Assassin,” the Miami-based fighter also holds a perfect 8-0 bare-knuckle record, with every win coming in the first round.
“This new date and fighting in Fort Lauderdale has me extremely motivated,” Trujillo said. “South Florida has become home to me, and I’m excited to perform in front of the fans who continue supporting my journey.”
Ramirez Marin (22-8, 12 KOs) brings veteran experience into the matchup, while Trujillo says the extra preparation time has helped sharpen his camp. “I’m getting stronger, faster, and more dangerous each week,” he said. “Fans are going to see the best version of Gustavo Trujillo on May 30.”
The event will now share the May 30 date with the rescheduled Havana Heat card, headlined by Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Alexander Espinoza and co-headlined by Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Jose Velasquez. Gamboa (30-5, 18 KOs) returns after a four-year layoff, while Rigondeaux (23-3, 16 KOs) enters on a three-fight winning streak.
The 13-bout card, promoted by American Dream Presents and Nothing But Sportz, will also feature names such as Pierre Nance, Nikita Ababiy, Dominique Valera, Christen Biggs, Lucas Dos Santos, Akeem Cheetham, Giovanni Cristian Scuderi, and Peter Peraza.
