Boxing fans in New York are in for a treat on November 23 as Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing presents “Rockin’ Fights 49” at The Paramount in Huntington. The main event features local favorite Wendy “Haitian Fire” Toussaint (15-3, 7 KOs) making his return to the ring against Argentina’s tough competitor, Brian Agustin Arregui (10-4, 7 KOs), in a super middleweight clash.
Toussaint, who last fought in June in a narrow title fight loss in South Africa, is looking to reignite his career with a strong showing in front of his home crowd. The 31-year-old will need to be at his best to handle the style of Arregui, who is aiming to make a splash on U.S. soil.
The co-main event will see the promising junior middleweight Micky Scala (10-0, 6 KOs) making his Star Boxing debut against Puerto Rican slugger Luis Caraballo Ramos (7-5-1, 7 KOs). Scala, at just 22 years old, is a rising star looking to extend his unbeaten streak, while Caraballo is eager to pull off an upset.
