Dina Thorslund (21-0, 9 KOs) and Seren Cetin (11-0, 7 KOs) are set to clash in a 10-round bout for the WBC and WBO world titles in Copenhagen, Denmark. Thorslund, who is undefeated and ranked number 1, successfully held the WBO super bantamweight title from 2018 to 2020. After three defenses, she moved up to bantamweight in June 2021, capturing the WBO world title once more against Mexican fighter Jasseth Noriega.
In her continued reign, Thorslund knocked out Zulina Muñoz in the seventh round and secured a points victory over Venezuelan Niorkis Carreño in 2022. Last September, she aimed to unify the belts in a home gala against WBC world champion Yuliahn Luna of Mexico and is now set to defend her title against Cetin.
Seren Cetin, from Turkey, claimed the WBC silver title two years ago by stopping Austrian Eva Voraberger in the fourth round. She defended this title last year with a points win over Spain's Mary Romero and has become the mandatory challenger to Thorslund. The upcoming fight, promoted by Bettina Pale, will be broadcast on Pluto TV, marking a significant event in the boxing calendar.
