WBC and WBA champion Kenshiro “The Amazing Boy” Teraji (20-1, 12 KOs) faces Anthony Olascuaga (5-0, 3 KOs) in a 12-round battle in Japan after WBO junior flyweight titlist Jonathan "Bomba" Gonzalez was diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia which forced him out of the fight.
Earlier, Teraji won the WBC 108-pound crown after defeating Ganigan Lopez. Before surrendering the title against Masamichi Yabuki in the tenth round via TKO, Teraji successfully defended it eight times. In their rematch, the 31-year-old avenged the defeat by stopping Yabuki in the third round to win back the title. Teraji then won the WBC and WBA titles in November 2022 by stopping Hiroto Kyoguchi in the seventh round.
In more than 40 battles, Nasukawa, who started his professional kickboxing career at the age of 15, has never lost. Despite his continued interest in boxing, Nasukawa also fought in mixed martial arts. Despite facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing exhibition in 2018, this will be the 24-year-first-old's bout as a legitimate professional. Yonaha is the fourth-ranked bantamweight in Japan and a nine-year veteran. In his previous six fights, the 32-year-old is 5-1.
In the co-main event, Tenshin Nasukawa makes his professional boxing debut. In a six-round junior featherweight contest, the former multiple-division kickboxing world champion squares off against Yuki Yonaha (12-4-1, 8 KOs).
