Andrew Tate has announced his boxing debut with Misfits Boxing, claiming he is replacing YouTube star KSI as the promotion’s new CEO. The 38-year-old British-American influencer and former kickboxing champion is scheduled to face TV personality Chase DeMoor on December 20 in Dubai.
Tate, who owns a professional kickboxing record of 76 wins (32 KOs), nine losses, and one draw, will compete in a heavyweight bout marking his first appearance as a boxer. His last professional fight took place in December 2020, when he defeated Cosmin Lingurar by second-round TKO in Bucharest, capping off a trio of stoppage wins in Romania that year.
In an announcement video, Tate declared himself the new leader of the Misfits organization. “Welcome to your new CEO,” he said. “It wasn’t a hostile takeover, but it was certainly planned. Mams [Taylor] and I are going to be working together to finally put Misfits where it belongs on the world stage.” Tate claimed that KSI had been “ousted” from the company, adding, “KSI tweeted something that annoyed me three years ago… long story short: I took his company from him.”
KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, founded Misfits Boxing in 2021 and has fought five times under its banner. Tate, meanwhile, stated that his move into boxing and alleged executive role align with his business mindset. “If I’m gonna fight on an organisation, why not fight on an organisation that I own a percentage of? It makes a lot of business sense,” he told Fred Talks Fighting.
The December 20 event will mark Tate’s transition from kickboxing to professional boxing under the Misfits banner - and, if his claims hold true, his debut as both a fighter and executive within the same promotion.
