Red Owl Boxing’s “Boxfest” series is set to heat up with a headliner showdown between undefeated welterweights Tahmir Smalls (11-0, 8 KOs) and Seantorious Martin (10-0, 6 KOs) on Friday, November 1 at “The Owl’s Nest” in Houston. Both fighters, who have yet to taste defeat, are stepping up to eight rounds for the first time, making this a significant challenge in their young careers.

Philadelphia’s Smalls has made a name for himself with solid performances in the pro ranks and expressed confidence ahead of the fight, saying, "When I’m in this mode, I’m very dangerous." Martin of Marietta, Georgia, brings his experience as a 2019 National Golden Gloves bronze medalist to the ring. He added his own words of warning, saying, “Houston, we have a problem!”

In the co-main event, Dion Jones and Elijah Williams will meet in the finale of the "Boxfest" 140-pound tournament. Jones (7-0, 6 KOs) out of Las Vegas remains focused on his path to a world title, calling this fight “one step closer” to his goal. Williams (9-1, 3 KOs), from Newburgh, New York, is equally determined to make his mark, saying, "It’s only up from here, and I’m going to keep winning."
