Boxing Insider Promotions returns to the Tropicana Atlantic City on June 13 with an all-action seven-fight card led by two unbeaten South Jersey heavyweights, Bruce Seldon Jr. (8-0, 6 KOs) and Josh Popper (7-0, 6 KOs).
The main event brings real local intrigue: Smithville’s Seldon Jr. and Egg Harbor Township’s Popper both enter undefeated, with 13 combined knockouts between them. In a six-round heavyweight fight, there may not be much time for feeling out.
The co-feature has Philadelphia’s Daiyaan Butt facing Willmank Canonico Brito in an eight-round super lightweight bout at 142lbs. Butt brings experience, while Brito arrives from Mexico with 11 knockouts and a reputation for giving opponents tough nights.
The card also features unbeaten super middleweights Damian Tinnerello and Kahshad Elliott in separate bouts. Tinnerello, who also serves in the U.S. Air Force, faces Abdalla Nagy, while Elliott looks to continue his knockout run against Scottie Stockman.
Julio Sanchez III vs. Shawn Rall could be one of the sleeper fights of the night at lightweight, with Sanchez’s forward pressure meeting an opponent who is not known for backing up. Jahanzeb Rizwan also returns after a stoppage win in his pro debut, while Queens welterweight David Malul makes his Atlantic City debut against Julius Thomas after sundown.
