Golden Boy will stage a world title doubleheader on October 10 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, with Floyd Schofield facing Lucas Bahdi for the vacant WBA lightweight title and Oscar Collazo moving up two divisions to challenge unified flyweight champion Ricardo Sandoval.
Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs) will return for the first time since June 2025, when he stopped former world champion Tevin Farmer in just 78 seconds. The 24-year-old had subsequently been scheduled to face JoJo Diaz in November before withdrawing due to a reported injury.

Bahdi (20-0, 15 KOs) earned widespread attention with his sixth-round knockout of Ashton Sylve in July 2024. The Canadian has since defeated Armando Casamonica, Ryan James Racaza and former world champion Roger Gutierrez, going the distance in all three fights.
The WBA lightweight title became available after Gervonta Davis was moved to “champion in recess” status in January. Both Schofield and Bahdi therefore enter Chicago with unbeaten records and their first opportunity to claim the full WBA championship.
In the co-main event, minimumweight champion Oscar Collazo (15-0, 12 KOs) will make an ambitious jump to 112 pounds to challenge WBC and WBA flyweight champion Ricardo Sandoval (27-2, 18 KOs). Collazo previously held the WBA and WBO titles at 105 pounds but tested the flyweight division in June, stopping late-replacement Neider Valdez inside two rounds.

Sandoval represents a major step up from that appearance. The 27-year-old traveled to Japan in July 2025 and defeated Kenshiro Teraji to capture the WBC and WBA flyweight titles. He has not fought since after a planned defense against Galal Yafai fell through because of Yafai’s injury.
