After being sidelined by injury throughout 2025, Jose Tito Sanchez is set to make his return early in the new year. The unbeaten junior featherweight prospect will headline a January 23 event against Jesus Ramirez Rubio, with the card streaming live on DAZN from Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.
Sanchez (14-0, 8 KOs) has not fought since October 2024, when he stopped Edwin Palomares in the eighth round. The 26-year-old from Cathedral City, California, had previously competed between 122 and 126 pounds but will return at junior featherweight following his year-long absence.
Ramirez Rubio (23-4-3, 17 KOs) enters as a seasoned opponent with experience against notable names. The 29-year-old Mexican has gone 2-3 in his last five outings, with stoppage losses to Nick Ball, Ramon Cardenas, and Katsuma Akitsugi, while picking up knockout wins against lower-level opposition during that span.
The January 23 show is being promoted by Paco Presents, Golden Boy Promotions, and Robert Garcia Boxing Academy.
