Leo Ruiz (15-0, 8 KOs) is set to face Elias Haedo (15-6, 11 KOs) in the main event of a stacked card this Friday, December 6, at Sala Urbana in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico. The 10-round junior middleweight contest will stream live on ESPN+ in the United States, starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Ruiz, a Southern California-based boxer-puncher, has remained unbeaten since turning professional six years ago. Training out of the esteemed Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, Ruiz has gained invaluable experience and steadily climbed the ranks. This year, he earned a near-shutout victory over Oziel Santoyo and a unanimous decision win against 30-fight veteran Alejandro Davila. His opponent, Argentina’s Haedo, has proven his durability, having only been stopped twice in 21 professional bouts. Haedo enters the fight following an emphatic second-round knockout of Ezequiel Nicolas Albarenga in October, bringing significant punching power to this matchup.
The undercard features an exciting lineup, with Ayumu Hanada (11-2-1, 8 KOs) taking on Joel Cordova (14-9-2, 3 KOs) in an 8-round junior bantamweight contest. In the welterweight division, Chester Parada (14-3-1, 10 KOs) will battle Oliver Quintana (21-3, 16 KOs) in what promises to be an action-packed encounter. Meanwhile, Jose Andres Teran (15-2, 10 KOs) and Jose Armando Valdes (13-11-1, 6 KOs) square off in a junior featherweight bout.
Rising prospect Marcus Harris (6-0, 5 KOs) aims to continue his knockout streak in a 6-round bantamweight clash against Samael Macias (3-2-1, 0 KOs). Sergio Cordova (5-0, 3 KOs) also looks to extend his unbeaten run when he faces Eder Garcia (3-4-1, 3 KOs) in another bantamweight bout. In the junior middleweight division, Martin Higuita (6-0, 3 KOs) takes on Oswaldo Gomez (2-2, 1 KO) in a 6-round contest.
The card will also highlight new talent, with Job Andrade making his professional debut against Michel Martinez, also debuting, in a 4-round welterweight bout. Rianna Doforo (2-0, 0 KOs) continues her campaign in the junior lightweight division, facing Laura Cubos (4-4, 0 KOs), while Oswaldo Molina (2-0, 0 KOs) goes head-to-head with Abraham Torres (2-2, 0 KOs) in another junior lightweight matchup.
