The battle for the WBC bridgerweight title between Lukasz Rozanski (14-0, 13 KOs) and Croatian Alen “The Savage” Babic (11-0, 10 KOs) is set to take place in Rzeszow.
Rozanski, a former heavyweight who has never competed as a bridgerweight, has been eagerly awaiting this opportunity since he was initially slated to face then-champion Oscar Rivas in Colombia. However, that matchup was repeatedly delayed and ultimately canceled. Rozanski’s most recent fight occurred on May 30, 2021, when he defeated Artur Szpilka in a first-round stoppage.
On the other hand, “The Savage” Babic has been active since his professional debut in 2019. His all-out brawling style has garnered immense popularity among boxing enthusiasts, though it has nearly backfired on several occasions during his brief career.
The event also features Martin Bakole (18-1, 13 KOs) to face a somewhat underwhelming downgrade in competition against Ihor Shevadzutskyi (10-0, 8 KOs). Shevadzutskyi, a 32-year-old Ukrainian, has notable victories over Kamil Sokolowski and Kevin Johnson. Moreover, heavyweight Jeamie “TKV” Tshikeva (4-0, 2 KOs) and Caroline Dubois (6-0, 5 KOs) also participate in the event.
