The WBO interim super middleweight world championship will be on the line when Zach Parker (22-0, 16 KO) takes on John Ryder (31-5, 17 KO) at The 02 Arena in London. This fight may put the winner in a position to eventually be ordered to challenge WBO 168-lb champion Canelo Alvarez for him to defend his belt.
Hamzah Sheeraz will bid to add the Commonwealth middleweight title to his WBC Silver belt when he takes on the highly-rated River Wilson-Bent.
As a matter of fact, the WBO had previously scheduled an interim title fight between Parker and former world middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade, but Andrade pulled out of the event right after Warren, representing Parker, won the bid to host the fight.
The third number in the rating, 28-year-old Zach Parker, has not entered the ring since November 2021. He has no defeats in the professional ring, but no famous names are on his track record.
At the same time, 34-year-old John Ryder performed well in 2019 against world super middleweight champion Callum Smith. In February of this year ( 2022 ), he defeated ex-world middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs by a split decision and is ranked fourth in the WBO rankings, as well as second in the WBA ranking and fifth in the WBC ranking.
